Lavender is the traditional answer, but if you’d like to make up a fancier pot-pourri that will keep moths away, fill cotton or linen sachets with bay leaves, lavender, cloves and horse chestnuts.
Or use the following recipe:
- dried lemon peel
- eucalyptus
- cedar wood (cedar keeps moths away, but it will not kill the larvae which actually destroy fabrics)
- mint essence on wooden balls
- basil essence on wooden balls
- lemongrass
A garden in your wardrobe.
Wardrobes and drawers will always smell nice if you fill little boxes with dried flowers, herbs, berries, etc. Here are some particularly aromatic suggestions: aromatic geraniums, pine cones, cloves, cinnamon sticks, lavender.
